Ramblings of a Stressed-Out Work At Home Mom...

What a week! Warning - this is a pity party, if you don't want to read it - I understand :)

Monday - I had planned on taking care of figuring out why we don't have a Social Security number for Lil Sugar yet - either the hospital messed up or the government didn't send it to us because we use a PO Box instead of a street address. It really wouldn't be that much of an issue but we can't get our taxes done until we have that number. Anyway, I knew that Monday was President's Day but it didn't occur to me that all the government offices and banks would be closed until I was already 30 minutes away from my house and almost to the health department where I need to pick up her hospital birth record and birth certificate... so, that didn't get done Monday. I couldn't do it Tuesday because I was driving for the data entry carpool which meant that I didn't have time so I was going to do it yesterday. Yesterday the lift pump in my husbands truck went out so I didn't get anything done - much less my 3 to 4 hour trip (by the time it's all said and done) for Lil Sugar's number. I had hoped to go today, but we are getting snow and freezing rain - will winter ever end? So, I guess I'm out of luck until next week because the weather isn't supposed to get better until then.

I also didn't get any data entry done yesterday and have other work I had hoped to do or get started on that isn't on schedule either. Oh, and we're also out of milk, cheese, eggs, bread, cooking oil and blank DVD's - I need 4 of those to get image files to the person who is building the website to go with the catalog I just finished. My husband doesn't want me to go driving in this weather but I don't think I have a choice - at least I won't have to go very far. Hopefully the roads get at least some better soon.

In other news, Lil Sugar got one of these at her baby shower: (A Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo)
and she loves it! Her Papa came over last night because her Nana was working and got to watch her jump and squeal and rock and have a general good time in her personal playground. Oh, she also got to be held and snuggled which was quite all right with her. Actually of the three of us, Lil Sugar had a really good day yesterday - she got to play with Daddy more than usual and Papa came to play when he brought his truck over for her Daddy to use and she didn't have to argue with dealership service writers about what was covered under warranty and what was broken on the truck.

Ok, ok - it's 8 o'clock, time for the pity party to stop and the getting work done to start - unless we have another catastrophe and tomorrow gets all messed-up too, I'll have a waterfowl story for you (but probably not until the afternoon, I'll be doing the Data Entry carpool thing again in the morning).

Ahhhh....life. Isn't it great sometimes.

Keep at it and I'm looking forward to the waterfowl story.

It has seemed like a crazy week. I can't even think straight let alone post about anything other then my illness which is a bore to most.

Hope you have a better day and week to come.

Sounds like you're having my kind of week. Although this is my 3rd bad week in a row. There is just never enough time in the day...

My girls both loved their jumperoo. Priceless really.

As far as the magazine. I do think it’s worth looking into. I have no clue what would be involved. Let me know your thoughts…

That is a cute jumper! When my girls were little, all they had were the regular ol' boring ones. hee hee

Thank you for stopping by and for commenting!

Sounds like a lot of us have been having rough weeks this week. I'm sorry things haven't gone better.

On the plus side, how cool is that jumperoo? That looks like fun.

Things will get better.

Also have to say, my niece and nephews call my Dad Papa too. I'd never heard that until my sister's kids started calling my parents Mama and Papa. Now I hear it everywhere.

Guess maybe once I was aware of it, I noticed it more.

Hope I can change that if you want to exchange links :)
